Medication Therapy
There are no specific medications that treat autism. There are, however, medications which can be used to treat specific symptoms or issues that may arise. These may include issues with depression, aggression, anxiety, hyperactivity, and other medical issues. As with any medication, it is important to work with an experienced professional to help you determine which medications to try and how you will monitor how the medications are working, the side effects, etc.
